Appearance[]

The packets are multicolored, and wrapped tightly in plastic. Each packet contains different dehydrated substances, normally sorted by color:

  • green and purple.
  • yellow and purple.
  • red and yellow = McDonald's Big Mac and large French fries.
  • purple, yellow, green, blue and green.
  • green, blue, purple, red, and purple.
  • unknown = roast chicken and carrots.

Powers and abilities[]

These packets can be reheated in a microwave; the heat and radiation in the microwave mutates the packet, rehydrating it to the form the food took before it was packaged. In the case of the Safe House's Rehydrator, the electricity inside activates the powder inside; the resulting miniature explosion acts the same way it would in a microwave, restoring the packet to its original form.

History[]

Spy Kids[]

The color-coded packets are first used by Carmen Cortez in the while she and Juni Cortez are staying in the Safe House. Carmen selects a red-and-yellow packet and places it inside the Rehydrator, turning it into a McDonald's Big Mac and large fry. The packets are used again by Gradenko's henchmen, who use a packet to make a roast chicken platter.

Trivia[]

  • While it is not known what all of the packets contain, the red-and-yellow one contains a McDonald's Big Mac and large fry.
  • Another packet, color unknown, includes roast chicken with carrots.
