Spy Kids[]

After several OSS agents are kidnapped, Director Devlin calls Gregorio Cortez and persuades him to come out of retirement to rescue his lost colleagues.

In the ending of Spy Kids, Devlin appeared on a small TV screen giving Carmen and Juni their first assignment.

Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over[]

In Spy Kids 3, Devlin showed up again twice. The first was to tell Juni to come back to the OSS much to Juni's chagrin, then pointed out that his sister Carmen is missing, which prompted Juni to come back. The Toymaker temporarily took a digital disguise of Devlin in announcement of his return.

  • In the August 1999 cast draft of the first film, Devlin and Mr. Lisp were originally one character called Devlin Lisp, who would've betrayed the Cortezes. They ended up being split into two characters in the final cut.[2]
